Being that Halloween is almost here I've been sketching some of my favorite movie monsters. I've already posted my Flyboy Zombie from the classic "Dawn of the Dead" and I'm just about done with my Nosferatu! The Vampire from the 1922 classic, also the first movie to be based on the book "Dracula". They actually didn't have the rights to characters so they changed the names and dates. Despite these changes they were court order to destroy all copies of "Nosferatu". It was only decades later that a copy of the movie was discovered in a private collection (the only one to survive). Well I'm glad somebody saved it, I can only sit through a handful of the old silent movies and this is one of them. Not to mention the haunting performance by Max Schrek as the vampire. I'll be posting it in the next couple of days, look for it.
